Old Time Clip Art is a collection of hard-to-find images from the 1800s to 1929.  They are from turn-of-the-century advertising, magazine artwork, textbooks, calendars, and other sources.  All are in JPG format.  Depending on the original image some are grayscale, others are line art, most are small and useful for general purposes, few are large enough for poster reproduction, even fewer have any color, and resolution varies from 72 to 300 dpi.

This website provides access to 128 of the more than 1,600 images in the collection.  The entire collection is available on CD.  Image quality varies and is dependant on the quality and size of the original image. 

The images have been used to illustrate scrapbooks, family histories, web sites, city histories, school reports, book covers, newsletters, CD and DVD labels, brochures, t-shirts, professional papers, newspapers, dissertations, historical articles, books, business cards, and more.

The CD is compatible with PC and Macintosh, and uses any standard web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Netscape, Opera, Firefox, and others.

All artwork is believed to be at least 75 years old and copyright free.
