We have been online since 1995, and since then we have accumulated a huge collection of hard-to-find vintage clip art from the 1800s to 1929. All artwork is believed to be 75 years old and copyright free.
Where did these images come from? Mostly they are from turn-of-the-century advertising, magazine artwork, textbooks, calendars and a variety of other sources.
Most of these images are small, and are incredibly useful for general purposes. Nearly all all black and white, and the resolution varies from 72 - 300 dpi. The image quality varies and is dependent on the quality and size of the original image.
Since we began selling our clip art, people have been used to illustrate scrapbooks, family histories, web sites, almanacs, city histories, school reports, book covers, newsletters, CD and DVD labels, brochures, t-shirts, professional papers, newspapers, dissertations, historical articles, books, business cards, and MORE!

Why Old Time Clip Art?
Back in 1995, my father began collecting these images and scanning them in as a hobby. Once his collection began to grow, people started asking him if they could use some of his images. As the requests began to mount, he wondered if others might be able to use these images all over the world.
